Story: Mono- Prologue

A rough draft of the first part of my story called "Mono". Hope you enjoy. Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Prologue

Imagine grabbing onto a live wire and holding on to it for all you have. That is what it feels like to share yourself with a Mono. The energy flowing madly through attempting to escape through any point of contact, yet there was none. Just two bodies interlocked in a passionate embrace hovering several hundred feet in the air as they fire off their life force in the other with unspeakable energy. The cackles of energy around them thunder down to the ground in a way that cause deep rumbling in the earth below. Their hands erupting with blue fire holding the other with a gripe that would bend steel but this was what it was about. A life where singular moments define the lifetime of an individual. Fighting through the magnificent fields of electricity, he grips her  hand placing it up to his cheek. He looks into her eyes deeply knowing her life story, the toil, pain, and isolation. She has longed for him for centuries now and that is what has brought them together.

Her lips began to quiver and mouth out words. The amount of energy being produced between them disrupts any sound waves being made through words, yet they were directly connected so that mattered not. Her body shaking between waves of energy that is vibrating between their bodies. The blue aura that showered over them in sparks and arcs of vibrant color was perhap one of the most beautiful she had ever seen.

''I can't believe I found you. ...It has been so long and i've dreamt ..of you for many nights. I could see your face and almost reach out to touch it,'' she said is a broken mouthing of words and her body shutters as the embrace tightens between them.

She took in his lightning white eyes, a gaze that she vividly remember from each of the dreams. The aloneness like each and every day and night. Even in dreams, nothing but her own thoughts and the desperation to find purpose, meaning in a life filled with less. Every so often there was whispers and glimpses of something so far out, she could not even grasp it really existed. Finally those eyes came into focus and penetrated her inner being drawing her to him. She had no idea how or why but she had found him in the middle of Siberia. No one but themselves for thousands of miles around. They might as well be the only two on the planet for all she cared because it was perfect.

He smiled and they whirled through the air embraced feeling connected as one. The joy of their joining rivaled no human emotion or contact. They were beyond human. She could feel him pulsing faster, his energy flowing through her lighting up every nuance of her being. She shrieked in gladness and moved in close to return the favor. Yet he is reached up and took her head in his hand and pulled her in swiftly. Their lips locked deeply and she felt her like her body literally was going to detonate from her ecstasy. As the wave washed over her, she was able to at least open her open her eyes as every moment sparked a new arc through her.

Those eyes again.

Please don't leave me I do not want to be alone ever again.

As if her eyes gave away her thoughts, with a crooked adorable smile, he took his eyes off herfor a split second and shot upwards literally thousands of feet higher than she was currently. There was no boundary or barrier to her now only what she wanted right now. She flew after him flying faster, overtaking even the clouds that's that zipped passed her layer after layer. She became jealous of the clouds because they shared what was once hers and only hers. As she slowed to survey around her, the earth seemed to bow before her as if she were royalty she thought.

''I doubt even that, I am made for nothing. Yet i will have this...Him!'' she exclaimed.

She spotted him flying below her having lost her in the cloud cover, he seemed to have doubled back with incredible speed. He was the strongest and fastest she had ever encountered. She dove down plunged at a deathly speeds, a nova of light burst from her illuminating  the night time sky as she increased her speed towards her target. The hair pulled straight back as she literally pushed the air aside in an effort to go faster. She could hear several explosions behind as she often did at these extreme speeds. She planned to come at him from above and slam into him with a little something special hoping to teaching him a lesson about being hard to get.

She drew some more energy somewhere deep down inside her, what ever had created her and him built in an unbelievable amount of power into such a small being. She began itching closer and closer, his back literally meters away. She had done it! She knew she would totally suprise him and get him back for this game of chase and he would be hers. She smiled as she powered downward at her prey. Just a few more feet, she could almost grab ahold of his coat tails, their energy began to reconnect like long lost dance partners.

''Almost there!'' she cried as she reached out desperately her love. In that split second, he turned and stopped dead in mid air. He looked her dead in the eyes as she screamed toward him at her full for force. His eyes turned violent like a jealous storm and then she saw a flash of blue metal. The knife buried itself deep into her chest, the hilt accenting the winter coat that she wore. Her body began to shake violently as she realized what had happened. His eyes.. She could not look away from his eyes even as her buried the knife deeper and twisted it upwards...

Time seem to slow as the energy between them cackled in percussive waves billowing up the air around them. Thoughts raced like a sprinter thriugh her mind. She had lived to so long for someone else's game and this was her last day. She was mad, she sad, she was even a little bit glad that this was the end. In a blink of an eye, she reawoke to his smile crooked as always towards her. His arms still wrapped around her body in almost a tender way when you just stabbed a knife into someone's chest. His arms supported her as the energy seeped out of her body.

He leaned in close and whispered into her inner most ear   ''Nia, we are one. We are alone. We are forever alone.'' the words were barely audible against the cacophony of air splitting, thunder cracking, and energy screaming away for her body, yet these were the last words she would ever hear.

He placed his large hand over her heart feeling the life force drain away from her body and flow through his knife into his own. His other hand locked on to the hilt of knife. He focused down into her dying blue eyes and his jaw tensed.

''Hector....'' she whispered as he yanked out the knife violently and her vision turned white....
